Johnston Tombigbee Furniture Manufacturing Company was established in 1932 by Mr. Russell B. Johnston to produce decorative bedroom chests and armoires. Over time, he expanded the product line to include a full range of all-wood bedroom furniture, meeting a growing demand with competitively priced offerings. Mr. Johnston led the company until his death in 1958, after which his four young grandsons took over. In the following three decades, the business grew with the creation of a holding company, Lounora Industries, Inc., and the launch of a Hotel Sales Division.
In February 2024, Prime Hospitality Group purchased the assets of the company from third-generation owner, Reau Berry, and formed JTB Furniture, LLC to honor the historic roots of the company.
